ATTENTION: Refunds on PayPal transactions

Starting from March 5, 2020, if the buyer who makes a purchase on the website selects the form of payment with the PayPal system, where subsequently the same buyer requests a refund for any reason and for any reason of the amount paid, this refund will not include the fees withheld by PayPal (equal to a fixed sum of €0.35 + a variable sum equal to 3.4% of the amount paid), but only the net amount of the transaction. Furthermore, any tariffs relating to transport, etc. could also be further deducted from this net amount. etc., for any reason and in any form, thus proceeding to refund only the resulting net amount.

What happened before 05-03-2020?
It happened that a PayPal transaction cost the seller 0.35 euros for a fixed rate (i.e. referring to the single transaction) + 3.4% variable rate referring to the amount paid. In the event of a refund, i.e. if the buyer exercised the so-called "right of reconsideration or withdrawal", it was only the fixed fee of 0.35 euros that PayPal did not return to the seller, while instead the variable fee, equal to 3.4 % of the amount paid by the buyer was regularly refunded. Let's take an example of what happened before 05-03-2020: a buyer who had spent, for example, 1,000.00 euros, of which 100.00 for transport, if he thought better of it before departure, would receive a refund of 1,000.00 euros ( the 0.35 remains the responsibility of the seller, but all in all it was a practically negligible amount that the seller could cover). If he changed his mind after shipping, he received a refund less shipping fees, etc. etc., in the example case therefore Euro 900.00.

But since March 5, 2020, things have changed. That is, with the new PayPal rules regarding refunds on commercial transactions, when a seller makes a refund to a buyer, PayPal will not refund the seller but rather retains both the fixed and variable fees (READ HERE). Let's give an example of what happens starting from March 5, 2020: if a buyer spends 1,000.00 euros for a purchase, of which 100.00 for transport, PayPal withholds 0.35 euros of fixed rate + 3.4% from the seller variable rate on the amount paid, which corresponds to €34.00 in commissions. If after 5 minutes the buyer changes his mind and asks for a refund, from 5 March 2020, given that PayPal no longer returns to the seller either the 0.35 euro fixed rate or the 34.00 euro variable rate commissions, the buyer receives a refund of only 965.65 euros. That is, the fees will not be included in the refund, but will always remain the responsibility of the buyer, as they are permanently retained by PayPal. This applies regardless, for any type of refund, for any reason and for any reason. However, if you change your mind after the shipment has taken place, you will receive a refund minus shipping costs, etc. etc., in the example case therefore only €865.65.

RETURNS

You can return the goods within 7 days of receiving them. The product must be returned intact and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. For the refund, if the payment was made via Paypal, the procedure specified above in the "Refunds on Paypal transactions" section applies.
